Create your wall!
Ok, first things first, let's create our image in Photoshop. If you don't have Photoshop you can download a free trial from The Adobe Web site.
Scan in your chosen photo at 300dpi (refer to your scanner's manual if you're unsure of how to do this) and crop the picture accordingly.
Go to [Image > Image Size]. Ensure the "Constrain Proportions" option is checked and resize the width of the image to 1536 pixels.
Select all of this image (Ctrl + A) and copy the image to the clipboard (Ctrl + C).
Create a new document (Ctrl + N) with the dimensions 1536 pixels width and 512 pixels height.
Paste (Ctrl + V) your image into the new document. You can close the document you were using previously if you want to, we won't be using it again.
Use the arrow tool (V) to position your image. What you can see will be your new profile wall.
If you're having difficulty positioning the image at the edge of the document's bounds ensure photoshop is set up to snap objects to the edges of documents. Go to the [View] menu and tick "snap" if it isn't already ticked. Then go to [View > Snap To] and make sure "Document Bounds" is ticked. The photo should now automatically jump and stick to the document's edges when you move the edge of the image usually within 10 pixels of the document's edges.
Once you're happy with your new wall go to [File > Save for Web]. Make sure the image is being saved as a .jpg and save it to your hard drive.
You're now ready to upload your picture for rendering as a profile wall!
On the right side of this page click the "Browse..." button. Navigate to and select the file you've just saved in the window that pops open. Once you've highlighted it click the "Open" button.
Now just click "Upload!" button and wait for wallmerge to do the rest!
